The Wortham Farm sits on the historic Wortham Bend of the mighty Brazos River in China Spring, TX. While the land has been in the family since the 1850s, a new chapter began in the early 1990s when the Wilsons and Gabriels—relatives of the Worthams—took over stewardship.
What started as weekend cleanups and road improvements quickly grew into a mission of preservation and memory-making. Today, the sixth generation of our family shares summers swimming, fishing, and exploring every inch of the land. We honor the legacy of our ancestors, including Grandpa Jack Wortham, as we continue to renovate and build new facilities—like the rebuilt farmhouse and new cabin—to ensure the farm is enjoyed for centuries to come.
